The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted everyone across the globe. It has also completely transformed the consumer products industry: volatility and uncertainty are the new normal. From retail store closures and radical demand shifts, to supply chain pressures and repurposing manufacturing capacity, the industry has had to move quickly to respond to the various implications of the pandemic.
SAP is dedicated to and helps empower customers to continue to thrive as prominent industry leaders by working with startups. It does so through its SAP.iO Foundries, a network of nine startup programs in strategic startup ecosystems, focused on enabling early-stage companies to form a partnership with SAP and integrate their innovative solutions with key SAP applications and platforms.
SAP has just published a new white paper outlining the challenges in the consumer products industry. It focuses on how in May 2020, SAP.iO Foundry Tel Aviv started a three-month, equity-free startup program focused on software solutions that address key pain points in the consumer products industry. During the program, the selected early-stage companies that participated worked closely with business and technical SAP stakeholders to create new joint value propositions for SAP’s consumer products customers. Each of these startups help enable consumer products companies to capitalize on their consumers’ moments of opportunity.
